A Crazy Dream

Have you ever had a dream? One you thought was so crazy it could never come true?

I've always wanted to live in Europe, ever since our first trip to France when I was only six, my dream was to live in Paris and walk through the streets with my daily baguette. As I grew, so did my dream. When I was nineteen, I spent four months on a break from college living with friends and family in Paris and Aix-en-Provence. It only cemented my desire to make this dream a reality.

Fast forward several years, I met a wonderful man who had never been out of the States. After one year together, we took a trip to Ireland and the UK, spending most of our time in London and Dublin and touring the countryside. We experienced the sunrise on the autumnal equinox at Stonehenge, and discovered his family's heritage in the Highland of Scotland intertwined with that of my own. That will be a story for a later time, this is just an introduction.

We got engaged in July of 2019, and with our wedding set for January of 2020 we have big plans to follow. We're moving to France after our lease is up. No more waiting, no more being patient and thinking that maybe sometime in the future we could make it happen. Instead we've decided to just go ahead and do it, while we're young and stupid and have support systems on both sides of the pond as it were. My parents are in France, his parents are in America, and we're both ready to take this leap of faith in ourselves and each other. I should mention, he's never been to Europe outside of our first trip to the Isles, and doesn't speak French.

So follow along for this crazy journey as we move ourselves and two cats over to Europe with just a few suitcases each as we start this next chapter together!
